The Three Fishes is a gem nestled in the picturesque Ribble Valley, located on Mitton Rd in Whalley, Clitheroe. Renowned for its inventive menu and exceptional service, this restaurant transforms dining into a memorable experience. Customers regularly rave about the gourmet offerings, with highlights including the exquisite 8-course option paired with a thoughtfully curated wine flight.
Reviews from patrons consistently laud the attentive and knowledgeable staff, particularly emphasizing the warm welcome they receive from team members like Johnny and Nigel Haworth himself, who often engages with guests. The elegant ambiance complements the high standards of service—a recurrent theme across various experiences.
One standout dish often mentioned is the melt-in-your-mouth sirloin, showcasing the kitchen’s capability to elevate even the simplest ingredients. Diners also appreciate the whimsical flavor combinations that keep their taste buds intrigued. However, a minor downside noted was the lack of acknowledgment upon departure, which might be an area for improvement.
Overall, The Three Fishes earns unwavering praise for its culinary delights, warm atmosphere, and meticulous attention to customer service, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts.

Fantastic experience gourmet meal for 2 including a delicious glass of Australian sparkling wine on arrival. Johnny the Restaurant Manager looked after my sister who is a wheelchair user with respect and care whilst also treating her equally! Johnny’s vibe and energy lifted the spirit throughout the whole night. We were met with immaculate service 10/10 even using a voucher, they treated every individual with the highest standard! Nigel welcomed me and my sister and also made the effort to check in when we left. We upgraded to 8 courses and had an amazing night!

We had a superb meal on Thursday splashing out on full 8 courses and extremely glad we did. We added the wine flight and again it was wonderful. I couldn’t pick one course over any others, they were all amazing. Dining in the Ribble Valley you are spoilt for choice, but the atmosphere and service from start to finish and the portion size was spot on, and we are sure to be back. And it’s all very fairly priced too. We were also very lucky enough to have Nigel Haworth himself cooking for us, as we were told he often does, and he even had a chat with a few tables after service including ours which was a genuine treat, topping off brilliant evening. Such a nice man and an amazing restaurant .

My Xmas present was lunch at this fabulous restaurant. I was impressed from the outset just looking at the building and its detached country position. Once inside, the service was exemplary and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were also knowledgeable on their products and wines. I enjoyed the set menu Sunday lunch and what a treat that was. De-lic-iousss. As Revell Horwood would say. The sirloin was melt in your mouth and who knew cabbage could be so tasty. A nice touch is that Nigel gives up a few minutes to chat to you about your meal. What can I say? Excellent.

Outstanding! Went for Sunday lunch and everything was just exceptional. Lovely dining area, great staff who were friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to be enjoying their work. Best Sunday lunch I’ve eaten, amazing beef, the freshest of vegetables and everything was just packed with flavour. Even the strawberries were off the scale. Lovely restaurant, can’t recommend highly enough. Just a shame nobody acknowledged us or said goodbye as we left.

Gorgeous food, to look at & to eat! The staff knowledgeable in what they serve & were polite & friendly! We had the 5 course taster menu (not particular happy about paying extra for veg & sides as was 70 each to start with)! Overall lovely, but pricey! Glad we went but can't afford to go often!

Had a beautiful Sunday lunch. Everything we had was excellent! Oysters to start were delicious and meaty. Both the beef roast and Halibut were cooked to perfection. I eat out often and cannot fault the food. Definitely recommend!
